![]() ![]() Virustotal is a service that analyzes suspicious files and facilitates the quick detection of viruses, worms, trojans, and all kinds of malware detected by antivirus engines. If it is indeed a false positive, see, how to report it to avast! and what to do to exclude them until the problem is corrected. You should now be able to export any file in the chest to this folder and upload it to VirusTotal without avast alerting. Now exclude that folder in the Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add, type (or copy and paste) C:\Suspect\* That will stop the standard shield scanning any file you put in that folder. You can't do this with the file securely in the chest, you need to extract it to a temporary (not original) location first, see below.Ĭreate a folder called Suspect in the C:\ drive, e.g. You could also check the offending/suspect file at: VirusTotal - Multi engine on-line virus scanner and report the findings here. You would need to pause the web shield to be able to download it, but the standard shield would then alert, select no action (don't install) and check out the info below. Conforms to RFC 959 and RFC 1123 standards. Supports these extended FTP commands: MDTM, NLST, REST, SIZE. Executable is tiny! Supports all standard FTP commands: ABOR, APPE, CDUP/XCUP, CWD/XCWD, DELE, HELP, LIST, MKD/XMKD, NOOP, PASS, PASV, PORT, PWD/XPWD, QUIT, REIN, RETR, RMD/XRMD, RNFR/RNTO, STAT, STOR, SYST, TYPE, USER. No installation routine won't take over your system. Support for binding to a specific interface in multihomed environments. Easy configuration of server options through configuration file. Small memory footprint won't hog system resources. Supports passive mode transfers and allows resume of failed transfers. The format of SlimFTPd's config file is similar to Apache Web Server's for those familiar with Apache. Open nf in your favorite text editor to set up SlimFTPd's configuration. SlimFTPd allows you to set individual permissions for server paths. This allows you to have multiple local drives represented on the server's virtual file system or just different folders from the same drive. The virtual file system allows you to mount any local drive or path to any virtual path on the server. It reads its configuration from a config file in the same folder as the executable, and it outputs all activity to a log file in the same place. Once the service is started, SlimFTPd runs quietly in the background. SlimFTPd is a fully multi-threaded application that runs as a system service on Windows 98/ME or Windows NT/2K/XP, and it comes with a tool to simplify its installation or uninstallation as a system service. It is written in pure Win32 C++ with no external dependencies and no messy installer. It is extremely small, but don't let its file size deceive you: SlimFTPd packs a lot of bang for the kilobyte. Nothing suspicious has shown up.Quote from: Matt Whitlock SlimFTPd is a fully standards-compliant FTP server implementation with an advanced virtual file system. I've read through the forums and have used various links to scanners and URL analysis tools. I need to determine root cause on this block. They have a main site which is also blocked: hxxps://- it's WordPress, run by the clients - could this be the cause? Would Avast also block the "order" subdomain? Our platform is on hxxps:// - we run on the subdomain which points to our platform. In the case of business sites, including this case, measurable revenue is being lost. I seem to only be able to fill out a false positive form. I installed Avast to see this for myself, and yes the site is blocked - with no explanation, detail, nothing to go on at all. They are actively losing orders and their clients are questioning the security of the site. It's well known in our vertical (telecommunications), and widely used.įriday June 18 we had angry clients telling us that our platform had been blocked by Avast for URL:Phishing. We run an online sales platform serving clients across the country. ![]()
